How This Works

Just a quick note to let folks know how this works, just in case you're new to the whole blog thing. I post the titled entry. Whoever wants to comment, add a story or condolence, can add a comment by clicking on the comment button at the bottom of the posting. It's not a bulletin board, per se, but it is a way to get information out there.

  1. I am overwhelmed by the news. Several years ago, I was in a very bad way and Jack pretty much saved my life. I was in a very dark place and after reading his daily newsletter, wrote to him and the following correspondence with him was the most help I had ever had in my life, and all this from a total stranger I had never met. I had not kept in touch, but Jack always had and always will have a special place in my heart and my prayers.
My thoughts are with you Linda. Blessed Be.

  2. I am stunned and deeply saddened by this news. My heart goes out to you Linda, your family, and all the people touched by Jack's immense and wonderful spirit. I had the pleasure of working with Jack all too briefly at FileNet. His humor and passion for life were infectious and his willingness to share wisdom inspiring. He was a true individual and I will always remember him with great affection and admiration. Sending hugs and love.

  5. Laurie, thank you for jarring my memory of the exciting journey through the bardo. I am a friend of Celia in her Beloved Moab, Ut and have offered this to her community here in Moab and at large and offer the same for Jack's communities.

Tuesday March 24th at 7pm join me in a shared practice for Jack and his family. Lets all get together & generate some energy to help Jack on his journey!

In the Tibetan tradition there is an initial 3 day period followed by a 49 day period of prayers whilst the departed navigates the Bardo before rebirth. My intention is to spend time each day being present to Jack and also for Linda, Gabby & Sarah. The family. More on the Bardo....http://www.spiritualtravel.org/OBE/afterdeath.html

For those unfamiliar of metta, it is prayer, it is sending Loving kindness to Jack. It is good medicine.
Saying in whatever way feels to be your truth
    may you be joyful
    may you be well
    may you peaceful
may you be free...sending this prayer to Jack & his girls.

49 days from Tuesday is Tuesday May 12th, on the coat tails of a waning full moon.(check my work but I think I'm correct)
We are all over this sacred earth and the times are to.

I chose 7am and 7pm in US (mtn time/Moab time).

    Many blessings and love,
    Jenn

  6. Hi Folks,

These are the closest hotel/motels to the center of Kenmore. I have included only those that advertised rates of $100 per night or less. I ASSUME that if you tell them the event that you are attending, they will give you a deal, but this is not confirmed. Most of them do advertise special rates for AAA or AARP, Military or other special groups.
If you need more information for any specific place, Google the name with the city, and there will be full websites.
